Gumline is a private dental home-care tracker for iOS by Mount Si Labs LLC. Log your brushing and flossing in under 20 seconds a day, keep track of the spots your hygienist flagged, and bring a clean summary to your next visit. Everything stays on your phone.
Where is my data stored? Only on your iPhone. Gumline has no account, no cloud, and no network connection. If you back up your phone to iCloud, Gumline’s data rides along in your own encrypted device backup.
How do I get my data out? Settings (gear icon on Today) → Data & privacy → Export data. You can export CSV files, a full JSON backup, or a Markdown summary made for sharing with your dentist.
How do I move to a new phone? Either restore the new phone from your device backup, or export a JSON backup from the old phone and use Settings → Data & privacy → Import backup on the new one.
How do I delete everything? Settings → Data & privacy → Erase all data. Deleting the app does the same. There is no copy anywhere else, so deletion is immediate and permanent.
Why didn’t a reminder fire? Reminders only fire if you haven’t logged that routine yet, and they never repeat once you’re done for the day. Check that notifications are allowed for Gumline in iOS Settings.
Is Gumline a medical app? No. Gumline is a personal tracker, not a medical device, and it doesn’t provide dental advice. Always consult your dentist about your oral health.
