Gumline is a personal dental home-care tracker for iOS, owned and operated by Mount Si Labs LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
Gumline stores the information you enter locally on your iPhone:
This data never leaves your device. Gumline makes no network connections. We do not operate servers, and we have no ability to read, receive, or recover anything you enter.
Because the app tracks oral care, the information you enter may relate to your health. We treat that seriously: the design reason there is no account, no cloud sync, and no analytics is so that this information stays entirely under your control.
Under Apple’s App Privacy definitions, “collecting” data means transmitting it off the device in a way the developer or its partners can access. Gumline transmits nothing off your device, so its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected” — and that label is literal.
We do not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services, or any other third-party code that phones home. Apple may provide us aggregate, anonymized statistics (such as download counts) and, if you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers in iOS Settings, anonymous crash reports; these come from Apple, not from anything Gumline sends.
This section serves as our consumer health data privacy policy, including for the purposes of Washington’s My Health My Data Act.
Mount Si Labs LLC does not collect, receive, access, process, share, or sell consumer health data. The dental-care information you enter in Gumline is created and stored only on your device. No consumer health data is transmitted to us or to anyone else by the app.
Because we never hold your data, there is nothing for us to disclose, share, or sell, and no data held by us for you to request access to or deletion of. Your rights are exercised directly on your device:
When you use Export, Gumline generates files on your device and hands them to the iOS share sheet. Where those files go is entirely your choice (Files, AirDrop, email to your dentist, etc.). We never receive a copy. Once you share an export with someone, that copy is governed by the recipient’s practices, not this policy.
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud, Gumline’s data is included in your device backup like any other app’s data. That backup is encrypted and controlled by you through your Apple account, under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to it. Gumline itself does not sync or store any data in iCloud.
Reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS on your device. No notification content is sent to us or to any push-notification service.
Gumline does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. It collects no personal information at all.
If we change this policy, we will update it at this URL and revise the date above. Because the app cannot collect data, any future change that introduced data collection would be a significant change to the app itself, disclosed in the app and on the App Store — not a quiet policy edit.
