BeanBench (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a specialty coffee logging and discovery app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Summary

Local Mode Only: Your data stays on your device. We don’t collect anything.
No Accounts: There is no account creation or login.
We never sell your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Local Data

All your data is stored locally on your device:

Brew logs, coffee beans, roasters, and grinder settings
App preferences and settings
Recipe selections and timer history

This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to your data, and we do not operate servers that collect user inputs.

1.2 iCloud Backup

If you back up your device to iCloud, your app data will be included in that backup. This is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not have direct access to these backups.

1.3 Automatically Collected Data

We do not collect personal analytics or usage data. The App Store may collect anonymous crash data if you have opted in to share analytics with developers via your iOS system settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

Since we do not collect your information, we do not use it. All processing (such as calculating brew ratios or grinder suggestions) happens locally on your device.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics or Mixpanel) in this version of the app.

4. Children’s Privacy

BeanBench does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
